1Q. What Strikes you about their movie?

1A. the mere fact that the Dervaes family can just conserve to the point where they only eat what they grow in their garden, and their garder surrounds their entire house. I think that would be hard to just manage a garden with that size, but to got to the extreme where you almost never eat any out side is a completely different level.

2Q. What do you think the Dervaes’ family Needs vs. Wants sheet would look like? Why?

2A. Their needs would be very shorter than their wants. because what they need is food and electricity but they choose to conserve, so their needs would be solar panels, seeds, a proper garden, tools, and basically any thing that is needed to live sustainably.

3Q. How does the Dervaes family fit into what we are studying in My Ishmael?

3A. From my ishmael it talks about how their government controls the food and they people who want food they need to work for it and its only for the people who are dedicated to wanting that food. The exact same pricible goes for the Dervaes family, except there no government making them work, they work to survive, its like they are the guards who guard the food and the dancers, they choose to dance whenever.

4Q. Overall, what are your thoughts on the way this family lives and works?

4A. Overall i think this way of life would most definitely be a very difficult way to live and it wouldn't be fun, but its how these people want live, any one can do it but it just takes determination.

I thought it was cool how you wrote that no government is making them work for their food, but they do it for pure survival. I also liked how you mentioned that they were like the Dancers in My Ishmael, who only danced when they needed to, which I feel is how the Derveas food system works.
